Project Description
Well hidden within the evergreen olive groves of Zante, a residence that seamlessly combines luxury and simplicity lays ready to thrill the prime occupants. The specific project concerned the transformation of a privately owned cottage into a touristic attraction of the region.
Contained inside a property of 1.500 square meters we have developed this building containing three en-suite bedrooms along with living and dinning rooms. The prevailing lean geometry of furniture and overall decoration establish harmony, while the extensive windows let the sunlight merely flood the interiors.
The surrounding area incorporating an extensive all-green garden and architectural arrangements dispersed around the centrally positioned swimming pool, is ideal for year round moments of leisure and social gatherings.
The operational infrastructure of the residence fully accommodate the occupants’ needs at the minimum possible energy consumption, offering in this way a competitive advantage to the owners throughout the lifetime of the project. The mechanical equipment is installed inside a machine room remotely located while at the same time architecturally integrated, in order to avoid visual or noise disturbance by any means. The air-conditioning system is based on local hydronic terminal units inside every room, centrally connected to a low-temperature heat pump. Also a solar thermal system is installed providing domestic hot water, eliminating the need for extra energy consumption.
